The disruptors.

What you are using every day that can interfere with the hormones you are working so hard to balance.

Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that can mimic or block your own hormones. They sit in completely ordinary things: food packaging, makeup, skincare, cleaning sprays, perfume. The evidence linking them to fertility comes mostly from animal and occupational studies, which is exactly why I treat them the way I do: I cannot prove any one product matters, but reducing exposure costs almost nothing, so we swapped our way through the house one category at a time.

Where they hide

Five categories, one card each. Tap to turn over for what to look for and what we swapped to.

The app I actually use

Think Dirty

Scan a product's barcode in the store and it rates the ingredients before you buy. It is how we audited the bathroom without a chemistry degree: scan, check, swap when it runs out. Free to download; point your camera at the code.

The five words I look for on any label: fragrance or parfum, anything ending -paraben, phthalate, PEG or "-eth" endings, and "antibacterial".
